I’ve just read an article saying that RuneScape isn’t safe for children to use:

Please give me your views on the article as this is a really important issue for me as I have a child who plays on the game. I think that it does seem biased, but it makes some valid points…

My sister met a guy online we live in TX and he lives in CA. My sister is 22 goes to college and lives at home. She does not pay for rent, or car insurance, she claims she doesn’t have enough money. Yet she buys a plane ticket, car rental and hotel to go to CA to meet her online boyfriend for a WEEK.

Right now my parents are pissed they feel they are being taken advantage of and think about my sisters safety in CA alone with someone online

How would you react?
She has a job but pays for college through, student loans that dont have to be paid back if she graduates with a 3.0 GPA

I know this is the job for the police but we know they can’t do it all and there’s too many child predators or pedophiles on the Internet and too many children being abducted. We also know there are some parents who fail to talk to their children about Internet safety and fail to put in softwares that help record Internet activities and so forth…. we also know that children will lie to their parents about what they’re doing online.

Child predators really need to be dealt with because of those reasons. I’ve read that one can get into trouble if you go in a chat room and pretend to be a young child when you’re not. I don’t see why. There must be something else that can be done.

If I do enter a chat room and pretend to be a young child and I want to be anonymous when reporting this pedophile, is that possible? Is it possible to be anonymous and not involved at all once the report is in?
